Why couples counselling?

Relationships go through ups and downs, and sometimes a couple needs some outside perspective to help them to move forward. Couples sessions provide a safe and neutural space, where partners can work together on improving their communication skills and strengthening their relationship bond.

What does it involve?

In couples sessions, I use a well-researched approach to couples therapy called Emotionally Focused Therapy. Developed in Canada, this is a short-term approach, with a focus on helping partners to feel more secure with each other and strengthen their relationship. Couples counselling involves a weekly session of 50 minutes, and lasts approximately 8 - 20 sessions.
